The Performance Innovation Institute (PII) at Tallahassee State College is proud to launch a comprehensive credentialing program designed to meet the professional development needs of individuals and organizations across our region.

Our program is built to: 

  • Expand access to globally recognized certifications. 

  • Support professional and organizational development. 

  • Provide guided pathways to credentialing success. 

Participants receive personalized support from local experts to identify the right credentialing path, understand exam requirements, and create a clear plan for success. All courses include preparation resources, exam navigation assistance, and connections to professional associations that extend learning and networking opportunities. 

We offer three tiers of services to meet learners where they are: 

  • Foundations Courses (4 hours)
    Affordable, team-focused sessions that build shared understanding and consistent language across groups. 

  • Exam Preparation Courses (Multi-Day Intensives)
    Comprehensive training with certified instructors, including practice exams, strategies, and application support. 

  • Continuing Education (CEUs)
    Targeted workshops to maintain certifications and advance professional skills.

Project Management Pathway

Foundations

Foundations in Project Management 

Introduces participants to project management principles, terminology, and processes. Learn how projects are structured, key roles and responsibilities, and basic tools for planning and tracking. Perfect for staff who contribute to projects but are not pursuing certification. 

Format: 4 hours | In-Person | $289

Foundations in Agile 

Explains Agile values and principles, including iterative planning, Scrum, and Kanban. Provides teams with a baseline understanding of Agile ways of working without requiring certification.

Certification Exam Prep

CAPM® – Certified Associate in Project Management 

For early-career professionals building project management fundamentals.  Gain a globally recognized entry-level certification and a stepping stone toward PMP®.  

Requirements:

  • Secondary degree

    AND

  • 23 hours of project management education (fulfilled by this course). 

Format: CAPM Exam Prep 3-day | 23 hours | in-person | $1,149

PMI-ACP® – PMI Agile Certified Practitioner 

For professionals working in Agile or hybrid environments. Validates knowledge across multiple Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. 

Requirements: 

  • 2,000 hours of general project experience (or PMP®/PgMP®), 

  • 1,500 hours of Agile project experience, 

  • 21 hours of Agile training (fulfilled by this course).

Format: PMI-ACP Exam Prep 4-day | 28 hours | in-person | $1,349

PMP® – Project Management Professional 

Experienced project managers leading teams and projects of all sizes. This Certification is the gold standard in project management leadership. 

Requirements: 

  • Four-year degree + 36 months of project leadership + 35 hours PM education,

    OR 

  • Secondary degree + 60 months of project leadership + 35 hours PM education. 

Format: PMP Exam Prep 5-day | 35 hours | in-person | $1,449

Provides a practical overview of organizational change. Topics include understanding resistance, communication strategies, and the role of sponsors. Designed for employees navigating transitions and supporting certified change leaders.

Certification Exam Prep

 CCMP® – Certified Change Management Professional 

Best for professionals leading organizational change efforts. Validates expertise in guiding organizations through transitions effectively. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), and either: 

    • 4,200 hours of change management experience with a four-year degree, OR 

    • 7,000 hours of change management experience without a degree, and 

    • At least 21 hours of instructor-led change management training (fulfilled by this course) 

Format: CCMP Exam Prep 3-day | 21 hours | in-person | $1,149
